Musings

This collection of writing is from my personal experiences. The blogs, vignettes, poems and articles deal autism, feelings, alcoholism and (later) acceptance and recovery.

Taking Stock Much Later

The thing about alcohol (and I suspect all addictions) is that people don’t go out and drink because they want to become an addict or cause problems. They drink because there is a deep aching need or pain that they can’t live with. Read More "Taking Stock Much Later"

Spirituality & Purpose

It’s unarguable to me that material possessions and the material life aren’t key to happiness. Meaning (i.e., spirituality) and purpose, I think are what really matter. My blog helps me find purpose in sharing my experiences as a means of validating others and advocating for marginalized and especially neurodivergent people.

About Me

About Me

A real person who has experienced extraordinary success even while dealing with emotional issues from autism and trauma. I also struggled with alcoholism for 13 years after bullying by a co-worker led me to just give up. Now post-pharma career and autism diagnosis, I’m putting my talents to use in writing and social advocacy. My interests are: reform of mental health care; natural medicine; mindfulness & spirituality; conservation & sustainable land management; and seeking answers to our homelessness crisis.
